Call for Participants

Are you a multiracial musician?

Curious what I mean by "multiracial"?
I seek participants with multiracial ancestry and/or parentage. The participant may claim a single racial identity (monoracial), multiple racial identities (multiracial), or a monoracial identity with multiple ethnicities (multiethnic). For example, the following musicians would all be eligible to participate in this study:
  • A deejee who identifies as Afro-Latino due to their Taíno, African, and European ancestry.
  • A vocalist with one White parent and one Japanese American parent who identifies as Asian American.
  • A producer with two Black parents, who knows their lineage includes both African and European ancestry.
I am recruiting multiracial artists working in country, hip-hop and reggaetón to participate in a study on the trends and developments in contemporary commercial music which are often ignored, erased, & misunderstood.
